We are glad to announce that CNPE, China Nuclear Power Engineering Co. Ltd., the leading EPC contractor of Nuclear Facilities in China, and SIMIC, an Italian specialist in heavy pressure equipment, high-precision manufacturing and on-site installation, have decided to join forces together and establish a long term collaboration and signed a Contract for ITER SMSA works.

On 9th August 2024, we had the honour to receive CNPE team in our headquarters in Camerana to sign the agreement, where the parties agreed to establish and maintain a long-term relationship. This contract will set out a framework for a cooperation in relation with civil nuclear power generation in China and in other countries for the development and the peaceful use of nuclear energy with the aim of further strengthening the nuclear safety of the nuclear power stations. As part of this partnership, the two companies will jointly identify and evaluate potential fission or fusion projects suitable for collaboration.

Moreover, SIMIC and CNPE are collaborating with ITER ORGANIZATION  for Sector Modules Sub-Assembly (SMSA) Project, that was already awarded to a Consortium led by CNPE. Thanks to its technical experience, SIMIC has been selected by CNPE as Subcontractor to support CNPE in the on-site mechanical installation works.

This collaboration between CNPE and SIMIC is poised to make significant contributions to the global advancement of nuclear energy, reinforcing both companies' roles in the safe and sustainable development of civil nuclear technologies to reach the #netzero and the #energytransition.
